Welcome to Joyneus! This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our website and services (the “Service”). By using Joyneus, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1) Information We Collect

Account & Profile: Email, password (hashed), and optional name details when you sign up. Organizers may add organization information (e.g., name/description).

Event & Order Data: Event details (title, description, dates, capacity, pricing); buyer email, currency, and order totals. We also store ticket/attendee records required to operate events.

Payments: Joyneus uses Stripe Connect to process payments. Payment instrument data is sent directly to Stripe and never stored by Joyneus. We receive non-sensitive payment metadata (e.g., Stripe checkout session or payment intent IDs) to reconcile orders.

Device, Cookies & Usage: We may collect log data (IP address, browser, pages viewed, timestamps) and use cookies or similar technologies to keep you signed in and improve the Service. See our Cookie Policy for details.

2) How We Use Information

• Provide and operate the Service (event pages, checkout, ticketing).
• Maintain security, prevent fraud/abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
• Communicate about accounts, orders, updates, and support.
• Improve features and performance through analytics and research.

3) How We Share Information

With Service Providers: Hosting, analytics, email delivery, and payment processing (Stripe). Providers are bound to use your data only to perform services for us.

With Organizers: If you purchase a ticket, your order/attendee details are shared with the event’s Organizer to manage the event (admission, updates, refunds where applicable).

For Legal/Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Service.

No Selling of Personal Data: We do not sell your personal information.

4) Cookies & Similar Technologies

5) Data Retention

We retain account, event, and order data for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes (e.g., tax/audit). We delete or anonymize data when it’s no longer required.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Keep your password confidential and use a strong, unique passphrase.

7) Your Choices & Rights

You can update account details in your settings or contact us for access, correction, deletion, or portability where applicable by law. Certain data (e.g., order records) may be retained as required by law.

We may process data in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
